Novaconta.fi WordPress site redesign and migration to a custom-coded implementation.

Implementation

Novaconta's previous site novaconta.fi was built on the WordPress platform. The solution worked for basic use but brought limitations in performance, structure and maintainability. The site included several external scripts and plugins that slowed page load times and complicated management. The redesign was implemented entirely without ready-made themes or page builders.

The project's goal was to create a lightweight, technically coherent and easily maintainable site that loads quickly on all devices. At the same time we aimed to eliminate plugin dependencies and create a clear structure that can be expanded over the long term.

Performance improvements

The performance improvements are shown in the slider below. By dragging the slider in the middle you can see the difference between the old and new site's scores. The new implementation significantly improved site performance and user experience.

The redesign did not focus solely on load times. Semantic HTML, a clear content hierarchy and a consistent structure make further development much easier and extend the site's lifecycle. Version control ensures that all changes are traceable and manageable.

Outcome

Redesigning the WordPress site and migrating to a custom-coded implementation produced a stable, fast and easily maintainable solution. The new site provides a long-term technical foundation without the limitations imposed by plugins.
