Founder of Waahtera
How Waahtera began
My name is Emil Häkkinen, I am the owner and lead web developer at Waahtera. I started studying web development in 2021 after my second child was born. I was and still am a stay-at-home father and wanted to build a career that would provide flexibility and allow me to work from home so I could be more present in my children’s lives. Over a few years I taught myself to code websites and decided to start my own company. While working in the field I noticed that many small businesses cannot afford to hire a web developer for thousands of euros to build them a new website.
Contact usWe handle it for you
After signing the agreement we send you a short questionnaire where we ask about your company and what it offers. Based on your answers we produce the content, write the copy on your behalf, create the design, have the site approved, and then begin coding the website. The process usually takes 2–3 weeks from start to finish.
- Step 1
Filling out the questionnaire
We send you a questionnaire by email containing up to 10 questions about your company, services, what differentiates you from competitors, etc. and we handle the rest.
- Step 2
Design approval
We conduct a video meeting with screen sharing where we present the first draft and make adjustments if necessary.
- Step 3
Development
After approving the design we begin coding the site and finalize the remaining pages. We send you a demo link so you can review the finished site before publication.
